Tahuna Breaks have always encompassed a rich diversity of music genres and styles. Over the past two years they have gained momentum in their live act, introducing the use of synths and embracing new technology to achieve addictive rhythms which get audiences moving.

2011 sees the Auckland-based group working on their forthcoming third album. Featuring new and reincarnated tracks, this EP will reflect the band’s progression from laid-back beats to a more dance-orientated sound.

Tahuna Breaks have released two previous albums to rave reviews. Reflections (2007) to held the number three spot on the Independent Charts and won them the Juice TV Music Award for Best Roots / Electronica Video for the single “Real Life”. Their second album Black Brown & White stayed in the Top 40 charts for 8 consecutive weeks, cementing their place in the New Zealand and Australasian music scenes.
